Following a short but fun attempt at a career in music, Chris went on to work in events, fundraising and eventually project management at several environmental organisations. After a few years as a full-time dad, he then worked on a disability rights project and then as a carer. Chris still writes and performs music, is a keen amateur naturalist and loyal follower of Brighton and Hove Albion.
Chris was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and also has some other exciting neurodivergent qualities as well as being a parent to a neurodivergent daughter.
Chris formed Mind Mates with Pete as he enjoys helping people out of difficulty and that there is value to dedicating his time to doing so.
Chris lives in Stroud in Gloucestershire.
After an early career in computing and 15 years in the care sector, Pete forged a successful path in fundraising and training for an environmental NGO. He then went on to work in the Civil Service as a careers coach. Pete is a keen wildlife enthusiast, gamer and has recently re-engaged with previous loves of climbing and cycling.
Pete was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult about 10 years ago and is a dad to a neurodivergent son.
Pete formed Mind Mates with Chris to use his skills, lived experience and strategies to help others to navigate their problems and maximise their strengths.
Pete lives in Exeter in Devon.
